Happy Holidays Everyone!

Let’s Say Thanks to the Troops!

(Thanks to my mother for forwarding this information to me!)

If you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com, you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can’t pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.

How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!!  It is FREE and it only takes a second.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these?  Whether you are for or against the war, our soldiers over there need to know we are behind them.

This takes just 10 seconds and it’s a wonderful way to say thank you.  Please take the time to pass this on for others to do.  We can never say enough thank you’s to our people in uniform.

Thanks for taking to time to support our military!

Puget Sound Papa John’s Donate Profits to Slain Officers’ Families

On Sunday, November 29th, 4 police officers were shot and killed in Lakewood, WA. On Tuesday and Wednesday, December 8th and 9th, every Papa John's Pizza in the Northwest, from Everett south to Lacey, from the Kitsap Peninsula to Snoqualmie, Greater Seattle and the East Side, will donate 100% of all profits to the four families of the slain officers. Please spread the word. In a world where we can’t do enough, we intend to do as much as we can. Help us give back to four families who need your compassion and support now more than ever. Please pass this along to anyone you know in the area.

Cool Knock-Out Business Card

I don't always get a chance to share the Photoshop work I do, but this business card I designed came out particularly well.

I've been making business cards for SendOutCards distributors for a while now, and one of the features I promote is the ability to "knock out" the background on pictures and replace it with more appealing scenes.  I've added everything from simple gradient backgrounds to Hawaiian sunsets.

Roger Weaver sent me a simple snapshot from his webcam.  He didn't have a particular background in mind, but after talking with him on the phone, I had this image in my head of him working in his study.  I found an appropriate background, merged the two, and came up with the following.

I was particularly happy with this one because he really looks like he belongs with this setting.  Let me know what you think!
