I just got this cool watch from 1saleaday.com for $6 plus shipping. It’s an LED watch that forms the digits from individual LEDs embedded right into the band.
I remember back in the late ’70s my dad had an LED watch when digital watches were first coming out. This one is a lot more elegant and should make an interesting conversation piece.

This website was the very first WordPress site I ever created. Much thanks goes to Idenizer for their Paper Wall Theme. I continue to use this theme for this site. I think it's just the right mood and feel for my personal blog.
Now that I have a couple years of CSS and WordPress under my belt, I decided to go back and tweak the theme to adjust some minor bugs, as well as some style preferences. For example, I removed most of the block/justified text and changed it to left justified. I also increased the size of the article content.
When I first set up this site, I had absolutely no idea how to do those things 
It was gratifying to see just how far my skills have progressed since then.
I am in the process of setting up my professional blog at russalman.com. That site is more specifically designed to outline my different skills, experiences, and background. I will continue to update this site as my "personal" blog. I need a place to post off-the-wall comments, jokes, and just vent, so this is the place.

Thanks to Facebook’s new web integration tools, it’s easy to create a custom widget to connect your Facebook Fan Page to your website. It will easily plug into CMS-based sites like WordPress or Joomla, and also work with social platform sites like Ning and Spruz.
To do this, just add an HTML element/mod to your site (I recommend adding it to the global sidebar). Then paste in the following code:

Be sure to change the RGB values to match your site, and change “FANPAGEID” to your fan page ID (the number in the URL when you visit the page).
Note that because the iframe code creates a transparent widget, I have nested the iframe inside a table so I can change the background color.
